Quality in-home health care shouldn’t be hard to find. At least that’s the view of Covenant Care, as a not-for-profit home health and hospice provider.
Thanks to corporate donors like Wind Creek Hospitality, Covenant Care is able to operate a robust charity program that serves local communities in Alabama and Florida. No matter a patient’s background, Covenant Care treats everyone with the same level of care and attention.
Read this USA TODAY story here about Allycia, a woman in her 30s who was terminally ill with breast cancer. Angela Bottesini, a senior director at Covenant Care, went to Allycia’s house to meet with her. She was touched by the single mom’s optimism, love and strength.
“The glow and the glory and the pride that she had in her life absolutely connected you to her,” Bottesini said. “She knew she was dying, but she didn’t give up.”
“Because of incredible donors like Wind Creek, we know we have the wherewithal and the means to care for patients who often lack resources,” Bottesini said. “From our nurses’ perspective and our physicians’ perspective, we are able to care for the patient first.”
